Curtains Up: Moorpark High Announces Fall Season of Dinner, Drama and Musical Talent

 

(Moorpark, California) Aug. 26, 2025—Moorpark High School’s award-winning Performing Arts program has announced a full lineup of fall productions, offering families and the community a chance to experience drama, comedy, music and student talent across multiple stages.

The season kicks off Oct. 25 with a unique collaboration between the Performing Arts and Culinary Arts programs. Students will present a dinner theatre featuring the one-act version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" at 5:30 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym on Moorpark High’s campus, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road. The dinner will be prepared by students from the high school’s Culinary Arts program.

The theater department’s major fall production, "Once Upon a Mattress,” the beloved musical retelling of "The Princess and the Pea,” will take the stage Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Performances will be held in the Moorpark High School Performing Arts Center.

Following the musical, the season continues with a showcase of one-act plays. Advanced Musical Theatre One Acts will run Nov. 19–21 at 6 p.m. in the Q2 BlackBox, and Musical Show Production One Acts will run Dec. 3–4 at 6 p.m. in the Q2 BlackBox.

Rounding out the semester, the Winter Choir Concert will be held Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
