12th Grade Humanities: Mr. Salen
Welcome to Mr. Salen's home page and the High School at Moorpark College.
The High School is a small learning community of 11th and 12th grade students and faculty. Students take a core curriculum of English and social sciences for their high school coursework and also are concurrently enrolled in college classes at Moorpark College. I teach the 12th grade social science component of the high school interdisciplinary curriculum which includes American Government, Economics and Cultural Anthropology.
Our year-long interdisciplinary curriculum is taught thematically and incorporates the courses of English Literature, American Government, Economics and Anthropology. Seminar and teamwork as well as student unit and yearlong projects are essential components of the coursework.
