A mother on a recent school tour said, "This is the library I have wished my child would have access to."  The Flory Library is new construction and we have been in it for a little over 5 years. We knew we wanted a modern facility that retained a warm, friendly feeling. We visited school libraries throughout Southern California, received input from teachers and worked closely with the architect.  The resulting design has created a functional showpiece for the school where students like to visit.  There are 2 multimedia presentation centers; one at the story steps for K-2 and the other for 3-5. They include projectors, presentation screens, document cameras and computer access. The library also features a 32 station computer research center equipped and a 10,000 volume collection of books.  A unique student-produced quilt collection featuring children's activities adorns the walls,

Specific Biography

This is the 17th year Mrs. Kunkle has been the Flory Academy Library/Media Technician.  She has a great interest in science and technology; coming from a family of scientists and holding a degree in Chemistry from Ohio Wesleyan University.
