About Our New Principal
Mr. Winters is a life-long resident of Moorpark and a product of the Moorpark Unified School District.  He started his education right here at Flory as a Kindergarten student and moved on to Chaparral and then Moorpark High School.  While attending college he began working for the district in our preschool program here at Flory and then moved on to work at the middle school.  He was hired as a social studies teacher at Mesa Verde and taught there for 8 years before accepting an Assistant Principal position for the Pleasant Valley School district in Camarillo four years ago.  He served as an Assistant Principal at both the secondary and elementary level and is now finishing his second year as the Principal of El Descanso Elementary School.  His wife, Erin, is a teacher in the district, and their daughter, Emma, just turned 2 years old.  He is very excited about joining the wonderful team of teachers, students, parents, and staff at FAST and looks forward to returning to his roots!
