Historical Figure Day @ Chaparral

Module Border Module Border

Chaparral Middle School is committed to equipping ALL students with the academic and social competencies needed for them to be productive members of the world in which they will live. We believe that students must be taught responsibility, how to make decisions,  and the communication skills that will be needed for them to function in a global society. Learning must occur in an environment free from prejudice and harassment, and rich in mutual respect. It is our belief, then, that we must implement programs and create conditions that maximize learning success for ALL students. We are dedicated to helping students "become their best."

Make Good Use of Agenda Book

Every student should have received a Chaparral Agenda Book the first day of school. Not only is this a valuable planner for students to note homework assignments and other events/projects but it can also be used as a communication tool between parents and teachers.

For your convenience, important school information and policies are included in the front pages. Parents should periodically check their students' agenda book. Messages to teachers can be noted in the agenda book or sent via email.

A copy of this year's agenda book is posted on this website (see Helpful Links above). The school calendar is subject to change. Always refer to the
Calendar page for updates.

Students must replace lost or damaged agenda books. Fee = $10

Clarification of school policy regarding personal music on campus:

Music being played through personal mini speakers on campus has become an issue.  Please be aware that students are not allowed to play their music on campus before school, at lunch, or after school.  They must leave campus and be offsite before their music is played.  The parking lots and the side walk in front of school are considered part of campus and music is not allowed.  If students play music on campus, the consequences are the same as when their phones are taken away,  Administration will confiscate the items and a parent or guardian will have to come to school to pick it up.

H E L P   W A N T E D  R E C E I V E D !

A HUGE Thank You to all our parent, staff, and student volunteers who donated many hours to help make our April Spring Spectacular a success. We hope our Chaparral families enjoyed the music performances by our Chorus and Band, the carnival and "rides," the ever-popular Cake Walk, the food truck offerings, and, of course, the raffle baskets and auctions. Your help and support is truly appreciated!  See you at next year's Spectacular!

If you are a student and did not get a form for volunteer hours; signed sheets are available in the Chaparral main office.  You can stop by and ask for one, or contact Rich Saiki and he can make arrangements to get you one.

Every 8th grader has received a Promotion Packet that outlines all the important dates and requirements leading up to promotion.  It is very important that you review this information carefully with your 8th grader and sign and return the acknowledgement form (blue 1/2 sheet) by Tuesday, April 19.

If you need another copy of the packet you may download:
