Project A.C.T.
Active Collaborative Teaching
Welcome to Project ACT!

The ACT (Active, Collaborative Teaching) Project will implement an integrated approach to incorporating the arts across the curriculum at the elementary level, focusing on the use of process drama pedagogy.  This exciting new project will provide elementary teachers with an effective, research-supported approach to learning that teachers will be able to apply to the delivery of rigorous academic standards. This approach will integrate California mathematics, language arts, social studies and science standards with arts standards developed by the Consortium of National Arts Education.

The project will serve all six elementary schools in Moorpark Unified School District in Moorpark, California. The ACT Project is the collaborative undertaking of Moorpark Unified School District (MUSD), the NCATE-accredited California Lutheran University (CLU) School of Education, and the regionally acclaimed professional theater troupe, Kingsmen Shakespeare Company.
