DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the new school year.  At the Moorpark Preschools our goal is to provide students with an environment where they can grow and be prepared for Kindergarten.  With that goal in mind, we have been working on our curriculum to better meet the standards based curriculum that the students will be learning in K.  Preschool children are evaluated twice a year with the DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile).  Staff records the students progress and meets with parents two times a year to share the child's growth. 
Parent education programs are planned for the year.  We have worked on programs that would be of interest to parents.  We have a parent advisory group that meets several times during the year.  Please let your child's teacher that you are interested in being part of the group.
We welcome your children and you as parents to participate in all the events planned for the year. 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

ADULT EDUCATION PARENT PARTICIPATION PROGRAM-2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR
CLASSES WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER 8, 2008 AND WILL BE HELD AT MOUNTAIN MEADOWS SCHOOL

2 year olds - Friday mornings 8:45 AM TO 10:45 AM
Parents must attend every class with their child in this class
Cost - $90.00-every 9 weeks

Parents must participate in the classroom a minimum of 2 times a month plus in addition attend 8 parenting classes that are set by the Ad. Ed. Parent Board. 4 will take place during the day and 4 will take place during the evening.

STUDENTS MUST BE 3 BY DECEMBER 2ND OF THE SCHOOL YEAR IN WHICH THEY ARE ENROLLING:
ALL 3 AND YEAR OLDS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED.

3 Year olds-2 sessions available-Tuesday/Thursday-8:30 am to 11:30 am or 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
$155.00-every 9 weeks 

4 Year olds-2 sessions available-Monday-Wednesday & Fridays-8:30 am to 11:30 am or 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
$210.00-every 9 weeks

TUITION BASED PROGRAMS -Walnut Canyon and Campus Canyon school sites-CLASSES BEGIN AUGUST 27, 2008

Campus Canyon-8:00 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
TUITION FEES:
2 1/2 days/week =$365.00
3 1/2 days/week =$445.00
5 1/2 days/week =$545.00

Walnut Canyon-Full Day-7:30am to 5:00 pm
TUITION FEES:
2 Full Days/week =$490.00/month
3 Full Days/week =$610.00/month
5 Full Days/week =$810.00/month

STUDENTS MUST BE 3 BY DECEMBER 2ND OF THE SCHOOL YEAR IN WHICH THEY ARE ENROLLING:

STATE INCOME ELIGIBILITY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS-FLORY AND CAMPUS CANYON SCHOOL SITES-Free to those families that qualify. Families must provide proof of income from the previous month from which they are registering. Students attend 5 days/week 8:00 am to 11:00 am or 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Special Education is now offering a 5 day/ week combination class-call for further information about this program.
7:00 am to 4:00 pm-$650/month-This class will be held at Walnut Canyon School.

All other Special Education classes are determined by an IEP only. Please contact the Special Education office for further information.531-6434

FALL REGISTRATION-2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR
REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR THE 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:

PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE TO ARRANGE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT THE CLASSES AT WALNUT CANYON AND CAMPUS CANYON. NO DROP IN VISITS ARE ALLOWED.

Registration has began for all of our fee paying programs. Come to the office located on Third St. behind Flory Academy to pick up an application packet.
Office is closed on Tuesdays and Thursday at 8:30 am.

REGISTRATIONS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED AT THIS LOCATION.

STUDENTS MUST BE 3 BY DECEMBER 2 , 2008 and 4 by DECEMBER 2 , 2008. 

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED.

Families MUST submit proof of income for the WHOLE month of April. This program is only offered at the Campus Canyon and Flory School Sites-3 hours/day 5 days/week.

Preschool programs are located at various elementary school campuses.  For registration information you can contact the main office at 805-531-6466 and speak with Alma Rock.  The main office is located on the Third Street side of Flory School on 240 Flory Ave., Moorpark, CA 93021.
