Based on the current vaccine supply, Ventura County residents that meet the following criteria may receive either the Flu Mist nasal spray or the injectable vaccine at this time:
-Pregnant women
-Children and young adults from 6 months to 24 years of age
-Caretakers and household contacts of infants less than 6 months of age
-Persons aged 25 through 64 years of age who have high risk medical conditions, e.g. lung disease, including asthma, COPD, heart disease (not high blood pressure); diabetes; morbid obesity; neurocognitive or neuromuscular disease; immunocompromised conditions (cancer, chemotherapy, steroids, congenital conditions, HIV).
-Health care and emergency medical services personnel who have direct patient contact.
Parents/guardians must accompany children under 18 years of age. If a person does have medical insurance, vaccine will be provided at no cost and their insurance card will be copied so that the health department may submit for reimbursement.

>Calendar Change - At a special meeting of the Moorpark Unified School District Board of Education held on Thursday, July 30, 2009, the Board adopted a revised school calendar for 2009-2010.
School will be in session on Monday, March 29, 2010 which was originally scheduled as an inservice day.
